PRIVATE BY DESIGN Photo scoring, similarity checks, screenshot recognition, and storage analysis run on your device with Apple frameworks. Decisions and recognition results are stored locally. If an original is kept in iCloud, Apple Photos may download your own original according to system settings, but Fotidy does not operate an image-upload or remote-analysis service.

Is Fotidy free?

Yes. Free users start with 100 processing uses. Each successful media deletion, JPEG-to-HEIF conversion, Live Photo conversion, or video compression uses one. Your first eligible app open after 06:00 completes the Daily Check-In and adds five uses, up to 100; missed check-ins do not stack. Annual and lifetime Fotidy Pro options are also available, with current pricing shown by Apple.

Is Fotidy a private photo organizer?

Yes. Fotidy uses Apple frameworks to analyze authorized photos on your iPhone or iPad. It has no Fotidy-operated image-upload or remote-analysis backend.

Does Fotidy delete photos automatically?

No. A delete mark records your intent, while Apple Photos owns the final system confirmation. You can restore pending items before they are submitted.

Can Fotidy find duplicate and similar photos?

Fotidy distinguishes exact matches, continuous captures, smaller thumbnail copies, and visually similar photos. It recommends a keeper, but you decide which photo stays.

How does Fotidy help free storage?

Fotidy helps you review cleanup candidates, convert selected Live Photos to stills, convert worthwhile JPEG files to HEIF, and compress eligible videos with three quality profiles.

Does Fotidy work on iPad?

Yes. Fotidy is a Universal app for iPhone and iPad, with responsive support for iPad Split View and Stage Manager. It requires iOS or iPadOS 18.0 or later.

Can I use Fotidy with Limited Photos Access?

Yes. You can choose a limited set of photos for Fotidy to access and can also request one-off manual analysis when full-library access is unavailable.
